Hello everyone, and welcome to our blog, "Liberty and Justice For Some". Basically, my best friend came up with the idea to start an official blog (rather than my FB), as a result of my increased frustration with the madness which I refer to as the beginning of "The Divided States of America". This includes, but is not limited to: useless, personal-agenda-persuing politicians; chauvinism; ignorance and intolerance.
There's certainly more to follow, and opinions of all sorts are welcomed and encouraged here!
I think you guys are doing a good thing here. I stand and support. After the unconstitutional vote against the ridiculous policy in the Army, I pretty much recognized, tolerance isn't accepted by the vast majority of our population and especially our politicians.
ReplyDeleteI've noticed it too. I don't normally poke my head into politics, but it's becoming blatantly obvious that our government is no longer working in the interest of the people. Not to say that there aren't certain functions in our gov't that keep us safe, but on an individual level, these people are trying to find the fastest way to fatten their wallets, while the unemployment rate is hitting 12% in some states.
ReplyDeleteThis whole mosque ordeal doesn't help either. Now not only are we trying to overcome corruption within our government, but the citizens around us have abandoned everything this country has ever stood for. Burning qurans? Attacking people of another religion? Sounds like we're tormenting these people in the same way the Church of England tormented us before we colonized in North America. "Get out of our land, we don't want you." It's disappointing on so many levels.
Don't forget that this was attached to another bill with other riders as well. so it was all or nothing.
